Vols Announce 2020 Baseball Schedule

Carterville, IL - The John A. Logan baseball program announced their 2020 schedule today. The Vols will host 29 games at the ballpark on campus, and are looking for their fifth conference championship in six years.

The 2020 campaign will open with something slightly different. The Vols will head down to Meridian, MS, for the first time under Head Coach Kyle Surprenant, to play a four-game set with Meridian CC on February 8th and 9th. Logan will take one more trip down south the following weekend playing in the Southern Union Invitational in Wadley, AL; were the Vols went 3-0 in 2019.

After the seven game road trip, the Vols will come home and play seven straight in Carterville; opening up with Illinois Central College on February 21st, South Suburban College on the 22nd, and Carl Sandburg College on the 23rd. Logan will finish the non-conference portion of their schedule by hosting Trition College for a four-game set on March 1st.

Once the GRAC and Region XXIV play starts, at Lincoln Trail on March 5th, the Vols will still play some mid-week non-conference games with Kankakee CC, Three Rivers CC, Dyersburg State CC, and McKendree University, mixed in throughout the season.

Logan looks to improve on a 44-13 record from last year, that saw the Vols reach the Region XXIV Championship game.
