VINCENNES, Ind. – John A. Logan is 5-0 after beating nationally ranked Triton College, 97-79, in the Sodexo Classic at Vincennes University.

The Vols were in a close game in the first half, but pulled to a 50-41 lead when Jonah Jackson hit four straight triples. Logan took control in the second half and led 71-51 with 12 minutes remaining.

Jaivon Eaves led three players with 14 points along with Mello Burrell and Vonnie Patterson.

The John A. Logan women suffered their first loss, losing 80-67 at Mineral Area.

The Logan men and women open conference play on Wednesday hosting Lincoln Trail. The women play at 5 p.m. followed by the men at 7 p.m.
