Logan Men Win in Overtime

INA — After losing an overtime thriller in their last game, the John A. Logan Volunteers came back late to force overtime and eventually
defeated Rend Lake 96-94 in overtime on Wednesday night.

Logan trailed by seven points with 90-seconds remaining in regulation play but a 15-foot jumper by Derek Hawthorn tied the game at 75-75. The Vols
jumped on top quickly in the overtime, but the Warriors battled back on two triples by Juwan Moore to make it close.

David Sloan led the way for the Vols with 25 points and 10 assists. Jaiveon Eaves had 15 points and Hawthorn 9. Rend Lake was led by Deivonte McCloud with
25 points while David Hunt had 17.

The Vols are now 7-1 overall and 2-1 in the conference. Rend Lake is 1-7 and 0-3 in the conference.
