CARTERVILLE – The women's and men's basketball teams at John A. Logan College will play a home game for the first time since Nov. 15 when they host Southeastern Illinois on Saturday.

The Logan men, 8-1 and ranked 19th nationally, will host Southeastern at 3 p.m. Saturday. The Vols, 2-1 in league play, are averaging 99.9 points per game and are unbeaten at home. The visiting Falcons are 1-6 and 0-3.

"We have had a good week of practice and our guys really like to play at home," said Kyle Smithpeters, Volunteers coach. "Southeastern is an all new team, but you know they will be ready to battle us."

In the women's game at 1 p.m. Saturday the Lady Vols will be in a battle for first place in the Great Rivers Athletic Conference. Southeastern, Logan and Wabash Valley are all 3-0 in conference play.

"It will be good to be back on our home court," said Lady Vols coach Amanda Shelby. "Southeastern will be a big challenge."
