Logan Men's and Women's Basketball Teams Return to Action

CARTERVILLE – The John A. Logan women's and men's basketball teams are set to return to action for the first time since Dec. 18. The Lady Vols will host the Greenville University JV on Friday, Jan. 5, 5 p.m. while the Volunteers men's team will host West Kentucky Tech on Sunday, 3 p.m.

The Lady Vols, 9-3 overall and 4-0 in conference play, defeated Greenville 88-34 at Greenville on Dec. 1. Logan has regained the services of Skylar Miller who missed 10 games with a shoulder injury.

The Volunteers, ranked 14th nationally, are 11-2 and 3-1. The Vols average 99 points per game while West Kentucky Tech averages over 100 points per game. Earlier this season, Logan beat the Stars 118-86 at Paducah. The Volunteers are led by freshman David Sloan who leads the nation in assists with 9.3 per game.

Both Logan teams return to Great Rivers Athletic Conference play on Wednesday Jan. 10, when they play at Olney.
