Logan Men Are 12-2 After Win over West Kentucky Tech

CARTERVILLE — Jaiveon Eaves scored 33 points to lead the John A. Logan Volunteers to a 126-80 win over West Kentucky Tech on Sunday afternoon. The Volunteers, 12-2, showed why they are ranked 14th nationally.

Eaves was 12-19 from the floor, 8-9 from three and 1-1 from the line. He also tied for the team lead in rebounds with 10. Eaves was one of four Vols players in double figures with Derek Hawthorn scoring 19, Romelo Burrell had 16 and Ronnie Carson 10.

Despite fighting the flu bug, David Sloan, the national assist leader, helped his average with 10 assists. He averages 8.9 assists per game which leads the nation.

Logan now goes on the road for four straight conference road games beginning with a game Wednesday night at Olney Central. The Vols are 3-1 in league play.
