MATTOON — Lake Land College started the second half on an 11-0 run and held off John A. Logan to claim a 90-73 win on Saturday afternoon. Logan led 43-40 at the half but the Lakers took control in the second half, putting the game away in the final two minutes. The game was tied 7 times and there were 17 lead changes.

Josh Robinson led Laker scorers with 20 points, including 9-of-10 from the free-throw line. Logan was led by Derek Hawthorne with 14 points while Melol Burrell had 13 and David Sloan and Vonnie Patterson each scored 11. Patterson also led all rebounders with 9.

Logan is now 13-3 overall and 4-2 in conference play while Lake Land is 12-3 and 6-1.
