Logan Men Come From Behind to Beat Wabash Valley

CARTERVILLE -- The John A. Logan men's basketball team came from behind in the second half to defeat Wabash Valley College 90-86 on Saturday afternoon.

The Vols, 14-4 and 5-3, fell behind 31-14 midway in the first half and trailed 49-39 at the half. Ronnie Carson hit two free throws to finally put the Vols on top 57-56 with 14:32 remaining. The game see sawed for the remainder of the game with two free throws by Jonah Jackson sealing the Vol win with :04 remaining.

Jaiven Eaves led Logan in scoring with 18 points while Derek Hawthorne added 17. Vonnie Patterson had 14 points including 12 in the second half and Ronnie Carson had 13 including 8-10 free throws.

Wabash Valley was led by Marcus Garrett who had 29 points. Austin Trice, the nation's leading rebounder, had 8 points and 10 boards.
