CENTRALIA — Behind a strong defensive effort, the John A. Logan Volunteers gained a key road win with a 93-60 victory at Kaskaskia Wednesday night.

Logan, 15-4 and 6-3 in the conference, fell behind early trailing the Blue Devils 13-6 but with Jonah Jackson hitting four triples the Vols raced to a 46-34 halftime lead and never trailed the rest of the way. Jackson finished his night hitting 6 of 8 three pointers for a team high 18 points.

The Vols had five players in double figures with  Vonnie Patterson scoring 12, Jaiveon Eaves had 11, and Romelo Burrell and Quamain Nelson each had 10. Kaskaskia, 11-7 and 4-4, was led by Justin Shaw with 20 points.
