Logan Men Roll Over Lincoln Trail

ROBINSON, IL — David Sloan had 11 points and 11 assists for a double-double to lead John A. Logan to a 90-58 win over Lincoln Trail on Saturday.

David Sloan electrified the crowd in the first half when he streaked through three defenders to score with a tomahawk slam-dunk.  Vonnie Patterson came off the bench to score 18 points, Jaiveon Eaves and Melo Burrel each had 14 as Ronnie Caarson added 10.

Logan, 16-4 overall and 7-3 in the Great Rivers Athletic conference, led 51-34 at the half and held the Statesmen, 6-12 and 2-9, scoreless for the first 5:30 of the second half.  Justin Williams led Lincoln Trail with 16 points including four triples.

Your Logan Vols are back in action this Wednesday as they take on Shawnee in the first of a three-game home stand for the Volunteers.
