Logan Men Have Impressive 102-71 Win Over Shawnee

CARTERVILLE, IL — Jaiveon Eaves scored a game-high 28 points to lead John A. Logan to a 102-71 conference win over Shawnee on Wednesday night.

The Volunteers, 17-4 overall and 8-3 in the conference, jumped to an early lead as they went into half up 42-28. As the Vols came out the gates hot in the second half of play, they found themselves with a 37 point cushion late in the second half. Logan used the long ball to blow the game open, hitting 12-28 from three.  Eaves and Jonah Jackson each had five triples.

David Sloan came within one rebound and two points of having a triple double. He ended with 13 assists on the night and continues to lead the nation in assists with 8.9 per game. Sloan and Melo Burrell led in rebounding with nine each while Shawnee, 13-5 and 7-2, was led by Daniel Soetan with 18 points.

Your Logan Volunteers are back in action at home this Saturday, February 3rd at 3pm to take on Rend Lake.
