CARTERVILLE, IL — The John A. Logan men's basketball team remained in first place in the Great Rivers Athletic Conference by beating Olney Central 96-77 on Saturday afternoon.
The Volunteers 21-5 overall and 11-3 in the conference, blew the game open in the second half. leading by as many as 31 points, 72-41. Five Vols scored in double figures led by Ronnie Carson with 20 points, Jonah Jackson had 17 including 5-6 from three, Jaiveon Eaves had 12, and Vonnie Patterson had 11 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double.
Olney 17-8 and 9-6, was led by Josiah Wallace with 14 points.
Your Vols are back in action at home on Wednesday, February 21st against Lake Land College at 7pm in a BLUE OUT! The first 200 students in attendance will receive a shirt along with one lucky student will be given the chance to shoot for a $500 tuition waiver towards their next semester of classes!
