Logan Signs Kentucky High School Star

CARTERVILLE -- Kentucky high school star Jordan Cousin has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at John A. Logan.

Cousin, 6-6, played high school ball at Warren Central in Bowling Green, Ky., where he averaged 16 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists per game.  He led his team to the state semi-finals played at Rupp Arena.

"Jordan is very skilled and can play multiple positions," said Logan coach Kyle Smithpeters. "He can shoot threes and beat people off the dribble. He plays extremely hard."

A prolific scorer, Cousin scored 48 points against rival Bowling Green High School and when the two teams met again in the state tournament he had 24 points and 12 rebounds.

"Logan was the first team to recruit me and they continued to recruit me even when there were a lot of schools after me and I felt they cared," Cousin said.  "I am looking forward to playing for the Vols. I feeI have the ability to control a game. I can score, rebound and pass. Whatever it takes to win."
