Marion’s Saddoris Signs with John A. Logan

CARTERVILLE, IL -- Justin Saddoris, 6-2 guard from Marion High School, has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at John A. Logan College.

Saddoris was one of the leaders on the Marion team that advanced to the Elite 8 of the state tournament with an overall record of 22-12.  He averaged 14.2 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists while shooting 40% from three and was rated  one of  the Top 100 players in the state of Illinois by one rating service.

"I've been a big fan of Justin throughout his years at Marion," said Logan coach Kyle Smithpeters. "I've been able to see him improve each year and become a leader.  Justin is physically ready for the college game and he will fit into our program at Logan.  He has the composure to come in and perform.  He finds a way to win."

Saddoris said he felt Logan was the best place for him to get better as a player and as a person. "I'm working hard to improve in all areas," Saddoris said.  "My strengths are the ability to create shots for me and my teammates.  I'm looking forward to the summer workouts at Logan.  I am a good friend of former Marion player Justin Shadowens who played in 23 games at Logan last season."
