Logan’s Jaiveon Eaves Selected For Las Vegas All-Star Game

CARTERVILLE, IL -- Jaiveon Eaves, the leading scorer on the John A. Logan basketball team who has signed to go finish out his collegiate career at Murray State University, has been selected to play in the NJCAA Men's Basketball Coaches Association all-star game in Las Vegas on May 19.

Eaves, who won all-conference, all-region and all-America honors at Logan, will play on the 12-member Division I team that will clash with the combined Division II and Division III team.

"I am very happy that Jaiveon was selected," said Logan coach Kyle Smithpeters.  "He is very deserving. Jaiveon was a great role model for our team last season and will be a great ambassador for Logan while competing on the national stage in Las Vegas.  I'm sure he will be proud to put on that Logan uniform one last time."

Eaves, joins Isaiah Tisdale of Vincennes and Austin Trice of Wabash Valley as the only representatives from NJCAA Region 24. The all-star game will be played at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas at 4:30 p.m. on May 19
