Lady Vols Sweep Lincoln Trail College

Lady Vols Sweep Lincoln Trail College

The Lady Vols softball team came out swinging the bats hard during their double header today against Lincoln Trail College.  Sydney Levan took the win today in the first game pitching four innings allowing only 5 hits.  Alyssa Wright came in to finish the game with 1 strike out and 2 groundouts to help the Vols to their 19-6 win.  Lexi Childers, Rebecca Moffett, and Taja Dedecker  were all 3-4 from the plate in the first game.  The Vols bats were hot enough to have 3 homeruns in game 1 by Taylor Roger (3-4), Lynnsay Wilson (2-3), Mikayla Chamness (3-4) along with the help of Sarah Aldridge who was also 2-3.  The Vols bats continued to be hot during their second game taking the win 10-7.  Pitcher Bailey Anderson fought hard to keep the strong Lincoln Trail lineup off the bases to allow her team to come back, trailing 3-0 after the first inning.  The Vols had 11 hits, which was contributed by everyone in the lineup.  The Lady Vols return back to play tomorrow for another GRAC Series against SWIC starting at 2pm and 4pm on their home field.
