7 Homeruns Lead to a Sweep Over OCC

The Lady Vols ended their week of play on a high note. Sophomore pitcher Sarah Aldridge gained her second win of the season allowing 2 earned runs in 7 innings pitched. The Vols trailed in the first inning 2-0 but shortly regained the lead with a grand slam from Taylor Rogers in the 3rd inning. The Vols bats were hot the rest of the game taking the win 8-2. Taja Dedecker was 2-4 with a homerun and Mikayla Chamness was 1-3 with a homerun. Sydney Levan went 4-4 the first game taking that momentum to the pitching mound to start the second game. Sydney pitched a complete 7 innings helping her team to the win 13-7. The Vols bats were hot the first couple of innings but took a break until the 7th inning when they put up 7 runs. Lynnsay Wilson, Rebecca Moffett, Sydney Levan, and Taylor Rogers all had homeruns in the second game. The Vols will return back to play Monday at Rend Lake for a double header at 2 and 4.
