Lady Vols pick up two wins against Lincoln Trail College today to start off their competition play this week. Pitcher Alyssa Wright picked up the win in game 1 pitching 4 innings showing great competitiveness on the mound. Pitcher Bailey Anderson entered in the 5th inning to hold the Lincoln Trail offense to no runs and picking up the save. The Vols bats were not as hot in game 1 but eventually picked up gathering the win 8-7. In game 2, pitcher Sarah Aldridge picked up the win pitching 5 complete innings allowing 3 runs on 7 hits. The Vols offense stepped up in game 2 taking the victory 15-3. Sydney Levan's bat stayed hot today going 6-7 with the help of Taylor Rogers 4-8, and Mikayla Chamness 4-8 with a HR. Rebecca Moffett and Lexi Childers were both 3-6, Lynnsay Wilson 3-7, and Makayla Smothers 2-4.
The Vols return back Thursday at Wabash Valley at 2pm and 4pm.
