Lady Vols advance to the final four after today's sweep against SWIC. Sydney Levan picked up the win in the first game pitching a solid 7 innings with 6 hits and 9 strikeouts. The Vols were down 2-0 in the first but bounced back to match the Blue Storm going into the 2nd with a double by Rebecca Moffett, a triple by Taja Dedecker, and a double by Taylor Rodgers. The Blue Storms bats stayed hot gaining 1 more run in the third inning but the Vols bats over powered them taking the win 8-3. Lexi Childers and Mikayla Chamness were 2-4 on the day with the help of Rebecca Moffett (3-4)(HR), and Sydney Levan (2-3). Rebecca Moffett and Lynnsay Wilson both picked up a homerun in the first game.
Bailey Anderson picked up the win in game two, allowing 4 hits and 1 run. The Vols bats continued to stay hot with Rebecca Moffett, Taja Dedecker, and Mikayla Chamness were all 2-3. Lynnsay Wilson had the hot bat of the game going 3-3 with homerun. Mikayla Chamness also picked up a homerun winning the game 9-1.
The Lady Vols return to play next Friday May 4, 2018 at 10 am at Kaskaskia College.
