The Lady Vols season came to an end Saturday morning. The Lady Vols took on the Lady Lakers at 11 o'clock with high energy but could not handle the Lady Laker's offense. Picking up the loss 9-1 the Lady Vols gained 3rd place in the Region 24 Tournament. Overall the Lady Vols were 30-13 to end their season. (FR) Rebecca Moffett, (SO) Taja Dedecker, and (SO) Lynnsay Wilson were named all-tournament team at the end of the day on Saturday. Coach Siefert stated "I am very pleased with how our team grew and competed this year. During the fall we were 1-11 and had many questioning if we would even make the tournament. I have never been a part of a team that meshes so well together and has so much drive to get better. All the hard work in the off season paid off. We have many positives to look forward to especially with as young as we are." The Lady Vols ended with a 56 HR (17th), .385 Team Batting Average, and a .935 Fielding Percentage.
