The Lady Vols took advantage of the sunshine at Dyersburg State today picking up two wins.

In game one the Vols came out swinging putting up 6 runs in the first. The Vols had a total of 11 hits and 10 runs scored. Lexi Childers and Hanna Schulmeister were both 2-3 leading the Lady Vols offensively. Rebecca Moffett and Danyelle Eilers followed going 2-4. Mikayla Chamness, Lexi Middendorf, Sydney Levan, and Brittney Proctor all picked up one hit to help the Vols. Sydney Levan earned her first win of the season only allowing 3 runs.

Game two started the way game one ended. The Lady Vols came out swinging, picking up 8 runs in the 3rd inning with the help of Makayla Smothers gaining her first home run of the season. Lexi Childers and Makayla Smothers were both 2-4 and Hanna Schulmeister going 2-3. Rebecca Moffett, Lexi Middendorf, and Sydney Monje all picked up one hit in the second game. Alyssa Wright picked up her first win of the season allowing the Lady Eagles to only 4 runs.

The Lady Vols will return back to action this coming Friday at Northeast Mississippi Community College for a 5 game series.

Another update: our Strikeout Cancer game against Frontier Community College that was scheduled for this Saturday March 2 has been moved to April 7th at 12 and 2.
