CARTERVILLE – You are cordially invited to attend Media Day for the Volunteer men's and women's basketball teams on Tuesday, Oct. 24 beginning at 7 p.m.  It will be an opportunity for the media and general public to get a pre-season look at the highly talented men's and women's basketball teams.

A short program will include a welcome from President Ron House, remarks by Athletic Director Greg Starrick, and season previews by Kyle Smithpeters, men's coach and Amanda Shelby, women's coach.  Following the program the women's team will have a 12-minute scrimmage followed by a men's scrimmage.

Take this opportunity for an early look at the Logan men's team that was 24-7 last season and won a third straight conference title. The women's team returns three starters from last year's team and area players; Skylar Miller, Kaili Bacon and Johnecia Kyles of Carbondale; Morgan Griffith, West Frankfort; Nia Marshall, Marion; and Hannah Groutage, Herrin.
