Logan Women Win Third Straight Game

INA — The John A. Logan Lady Vols won their fourth straight game and stayed on top of the Great Rivers Athletic Conference with a 79-61 road win at Rend Lake on Wednesday night.

The Lady Vols are now 5-1 overall and 3-0 in the conference.

Farasia Hodge led the way with 23 points and 11 rebounds while Morgan Griffith had 12 points and Destiny Cozart 11.

Logan trailed 21-18 after one quarter but took the lead in the second quarter, and led 35-28 at the half. The Lady Vols dominated the game in the second half to gain the victory. The Vols defense shut down the nation's second leading scorer, holding Kennedy Prince to just five points.
