C ARTERVILLE -- Wabash Valley, ranked 9th nationally, pulled away from John A. Logan in the fourth quarter to claim an 87-70 win on Saturday afternoon. Logan led 21-16 at the end of the first quarter and 40-38 at the half.

The Warriors, 16-1 and 6-0, pulled ahead in the third quarter but led only 63-59 going into the final quarter. Mariah McCully led Wabash in scoring with 22 points while Marie Hunter added 16, DeAsia Outlaw 14 and Dazha Congleton 12.

Logan, 12-5 and 6-2, was led by Destiny Cozart with 24 points.  Miriah Donelson added 15 points and Shaniya Whitsell had 13. Cozart was 6-12 from three and Donelson was 5-9 from outside the arc.
