CARTERVILLE — Farasia Hodge had a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds to lead the John A. Logan women's basketball team to an 88-69 win over Olney Central on Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Vols, 18-7 overall and 10-4 in the conference, won the battle of the boards by out rebounding Olney 45-30. Logan placed six players in double figures led by Destiny Cozart with 19, Shaniya Whitsell 16, Kaili Bacon 13, Johnecia Kyles 11 and Mariah Donelson 10 in addition to Hodge's 15.

The game was close in the first quarter with Logan holding on to a 20-19 lead going into the second quarter when the Lady Vols went on a 13-2 run and never trailed again.

Olney, 15-11 and 9-6, was led by Hannah Coleman with 15 points.
