CARTERVILLE — The John A. Logan women's basketball team used a scrambling full court zone press to jump to a 23-12 lead after one quarter and went on to claim a 90-72 win over Lake Land College on Wednesday night.

It was the 7th straight win for the Lady Vols, 19-7 overall and 11-4 in the conference. Kaili Bacon led Logan scorers with 20 points while Destiny Cozart had 18. Rounding out five players in double figures was Farasia Hodge with 14, Shaniya Whitsell 13 and Johnecia Kyles with 10.

LakeLand, 18-9 and 10-6, was led by Avery Jackson with 25 points including 14-14 from the free throw line.
