Two Lady Vols Players Named All-Conference and All-Region

Destiny Cozart and Farasia Hodge

CARTERVILLE — Destiny Cozart and Farasia Hodge have been named to the Great Rivers Athletic all-conference and NJCAA Region 24 all-region teams.

It is the second straight year that Cozart has been named to the all-conference and all-region teams. The 5'8 sophomore from Lexington, Ky., averaged 17 points and 6.4 rebounds per game this season and has scored 909 points in her two seasons with the Lady Vols.

Hodge joined the Logan squad this  season after playing one year at State Fair College in Missouri. The 6'0 sophomore from Hopkinsville, Ky., averaged 13.2 points per game and led the team in rebounds with 8.5 per game. She averaged a double-double in conference play.

Cozart and Hodge will lead the Lady Vols in the NJCAA Region 24 Tournament beginning with a home game against Lincoln Trail College on Tuesday, 5:30 p.m. The two teams split games in league play with Logan, 21-8 and 13-5, winning 81-68 at Logan and Lincoln Trail, 15-12 and 7-10, winning 67-63 at Robinson.
