JOHN A LOGAN WOMEN’S BASKETBALL ROLLS PAST SWIC 77-42.

CARTERVILLE, IL- the John A. Logan Lady Volunteers come back from break strong with a 77-42 against SWIC. With this win the Lady Vols move to an 8-7 record.

The Lady Vols had another great start scoring 49 first half points and limiting the Blue Storm to 12 first half points. The Vols went 6-14 from the three in the first half struggling a bit but they made up for it by crashing the offensive boards and getting and ones.

The Lady Vols struggled to find a rhythm in the second half letting SWIC out score them 20-14 in the 3rd quarter. This wasn't the end though for the Lady Vols they bounced back in the fourth quarter grabbing offensive rebounds and finishing around the basket. The Vols ended up outscoring the Blue Storm 77-42.

Sophomore local, Nia Marshall, ended the night with a total of 10 points and 8 rebounds. Sophomore, Lyric Campbell, ended the night with 15 points and dished 6 assists. Freshman, Anshanique Leavell, had 8 points and 2 steals.

The Lady Vols move to 8-7 on the season. The Lady Vols will host Lake Land College on 1/12 @ 1:00pm in Carterville, IL. (Pending weather this date and time might change.)
