JALC WBB CLINCHES THEIR 5TH STRAIGHT WITH WIN OVER LTC

ROBINSON, IL- The John A Logan Lady Volunteers clinch fifth straight win after today's game against Lincoln Trail with a final score of 70-35. After today's win the Lady Vols improve their record to 11-7.

The Lady Vols came out hot in the first half scoring 39 points and holding the Lady Statesmen to 14 points. The Vols shot the ball exceptionally well the whole game from the floor but especially from the three-point line where they made 9 total three-pointers. The Lady Statesman struggled to score on offense due to a tough defensive effort shown by the Lady Vols. The Vols never let up the entire game and ended up scoring a total of 70 points to the Lady Statesmen 35 points.

Freshman, Emily Holmes, ended the night with a total of 5 three-pointers and a pair of free throws giving her of 17 points on the game and 3 rebounds. Sophomore, Niece Kyles, chipped 15 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 3 blocks. Freshman, ZaKyra Stallworth, ended the game with 9 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 blocks.

The Lady Vols move to 11-7 on the season. The Lady Vols will host Olney College on 1/23 @ 5:00 pm in Carterville, IL.
