Mt. Carmel, IL- The John A Logan Lady Volunteers fall to the #3 team in the nation, Wabash Valley Lady warriors, with a final score of 50-96. With tonight's loss, the Lady Vols record moves to 13-10 overall.
The Lady Vols came out flat in the first half and got outscored by the Lady Warriors 61-20. The Vols made a little run in the second half scoring 18 points in the 3rd quarter and 12 points in the 4th quarter but the lead was too large to overcome.
Sophomore, Neicy Kyles, ended the night with 8 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Freshman, Zakyra Stallworth, added 12 points and grabbed 2 rebounds and 1 block. Freshman, Kalveona Pepper, had 10 points and 3 rebounds.
The Lady Vols record moves to 13-10 on the season. The Lady Vols will host Southeastern Illinois College on Saturday (2/9) @1:00 PM.
