LADY VOLS SUFFER LOSS LAST REGULAR SEASON GAME TO OLNEY COLLEGE 79-73.

OLNEY, IL- The John A Logan Lady Volunteers suffer last regular season loss to Olney College with a final score of 79-73. With tonight's loss, the Lady Vols record moves to 14-15 overall.  

The Lady Vols opened the first half of the game abruptly well. The Lady Vols started out the game shooting well and getting to every 50/50 ball. Although the Vols were shooting well their zone defense was also outstanding in the first half. The first half ended in the Vols favor outscoring Olney 45-33. 

In the second half of the game, fatigue became an issue for the low amount of players on the bench. With the Vols fatigue, Olney made a run to tie up the game and surpassed the Lady Vols. The Lady Vols battled until the end and they came up short by a score of 79-73 in Olney's favor. 

Freshman, Emily Holmes, ended the night with 17 points (making five 3 pointers) and dishing 3 assists. Freshman, Hunter Thacker, had 14 points (making four 3 pointers) and dishing out 3 assists. Freshman, Kalveona Pepper, had 17 points and 1 block. 

The Lady Vols record moves to 14-15 on the season. The Lady Vols travel to Harrisburg, Illinois on Tuesday (2/4) to face Southeastern Illinois College in the first round of Regionals. Start time is still yet to be announced.
