WOMEN’S BASKETBALL CLAIMS WIN AGAINST LINDENWOOD BELLEVILLE JV 124-30.

BELLEVILLE, IL- The John A Logan Lady Volunteers come back from break strong with a 124-30 against Lindenwood Belleville JV. With this win the Lady Vols are back on track with an overall record or 7-7.

The Lady Vols came out hot in the first half scoring 60 points to Lady Lynx 11 points. The Vols shot the ball really well the whole game chipping in a team high of 16 three point shots. The Lady Lynx struggled to score on offense due to a tough defensive effort given by the the Lady Vols. The Vols never let up the entire game and ended up scoring a total of 124 points to the Lady Lynx 30 points. 

Freshman, Emily Holmes, ended the night with a total of 10 three pointers and an overall total of 34 points which beats her personal point record. Sophomore, Niece Kyles, chipped in 4 three pointers and had an overall point total of 18 points and she also blocked 3 shots. Freshman, Anshanique Leavell, had a standout performance scoring 16 points and dishing out 2 assists. 

The Lady Vols move to 7-7 on the season. The Lady Vols will host Southwestern Illinois College on 1/9 @ 5:00pm in Carterville, IL.
