The Lady Vols are off to another strong start in the GRAC. After last seasons perfect 14-0 conference record, the Vols are following it up with another fast start. Currently 6-0 in the conference with road wins over conference rivals Kaskaskia and Lake Land, the team is in a very solid position headed into the second half of the schedule.
"Certainly going on the road early in the season to play your conference rivals is very stressful, and not the ideal schedule. But this season we managed to get out there early and earn a couple nice wins. Knowing that these teams now have to come to us and play on our floor is a good feeling. There is nothing certain about the outcome of those matches, but I would much rather face them again here rather than on the road," said Coach Burnside.
The team is facing Lincoln Trail tonight in Robinson, IL. If they can come out of that match with a win, they will be undefeated through the first half of the conference schedule.
