CARTERVILLE - The Vols offense came to life as Logan would cruise past Southwestern Illinois College 14-3 in 7 innings on Wednesday. The win puts the Vols at 24-12 on the year and 11-3 in GRAC play. JALC will look to keep the bats going as they travel to Onley Central College to open a crucial GRAC series on Thursday; first pitch scheduled for 3 p.m. The Vols will return home on Saturday for a doubleheader against Onley, starting at noon. Logan would come out swinging, picking up seven runs on four hits in the first. After the first two batters were hit by the pitch Collin Clayton opened the scoring with a two-run double. With two outs in the frame Sam Frontino would cap the big inning with a two-run bomb to right center. SWIC would start to fight back with single runs in the third and fourth to cut the Logan lead to 7-2; but the Vols would answer with a big six-run fourth inning to cement the short game victory. The inning would start with back-to-back doubles from Jack Wilson and Cameron Touchette; after a hit by pitch and a walk, Hunter Sullivan would smack a towering grand slam to push the lead to 12-2. Two batters later Blake Johnson would follow suit with a solo shot of his own. The Vols would tally 13 hits, including seven extra base hits. Jack Wilson would lead the charge with a 3-4 day, while Collin Clayton, AJ Lewis, and Hunter Sullivan would each add two hits of their own. Eight of the nine Vols batters would collect a hit, while every batter would score at least one run.

Hunter Sullivan (2-1) would pick up the win on the mound, going six innings giving up three runs (two earned) on four hits, while striking out six. Adison Wildharber would finish the game with one inning of scoreless relief were he would strike out the side.
