Onley, IL - The Logan baseball fell short against Onley on Thursday. The Vols held a 3-0 into the 8th before an Onley five-run bottom have become too much for the Vols to comeback from. The loss puts the Vols at 24-13 on the year and 11-4 in GRAC play.

JALC got things going in the third with a 2-out double from Collin Clayton scoring Ashton Creal to give the Vols the 1-0 lead. Logan would add another in the sixth a capitalizing on two Onley errors when AJ Lewis would single to score Jack Wilson. In the eighth Wilson score again from Lewis, this time on a sacrifice bunt, pushing the lead to 3-0. The bottom of the frame would spell doom for the Vols as would bust through with four walks/hit-by-pitches and two hits to score five runs, all with two outs. In the ninth Sam Frontino would start the comeback with a leadoff double; Shane Piekser would pinch run for Frontino scoring on a two-out single from Blake Johnson, but the Vols couldn't get the tying run around, stranding Johnson on second. Blake Johnson would led the way offensively with two hits, while Jack Wilson would end up with two runs scored. Five players would tally a hit for the Vols. On the mound, Logan received another quality start from Trey Riley. The Sophomore Missouri St signee, would go 7.2 IP, giving up two runs on two hits, while striking out 14. Cole Hensel would take the loss in relief.
