Colorado Springs, CO - Vols Pitcher Tanner Gordon was named the NJCAA Division 1 Pitcher Of the Week on Wednesday. This week's award covers from April 16 to April 22. Gordon, the Indiana signee, threw a complete game victory, where he struck out a school record 19 batters against Olney Central on Saturday to earn the honor. The 6'5" right-hander from Champaign is currently 6-2 on the year in 53 innings pitched with a 2.21 ERA and 77 strikeouts.

It has been fun to watch him mature over his two years into the person and pitcher that he is today.
