Carterville, IL - Logan Volunteers head coach Kyle Surprenant announced his team's 2024 schedule on Thursday afternoon. A total of 30 home games will give fans plenty of opportunity to see the Vols at the newly renovated ballpark on campus.
"I really like this group of guys." Surprenant said. "They have worked hard all fall and I am excited to see what we can do against a very strong schedule."
Logan Baseball is looking to improve upon a 2023 campaign, where they posted a record of 43-17, collecting a Region XXIV Championship and finishing the season in the Midwest District Tournament. The Vols will open up with two challenging road trips; first, a three-game set at Hinds CC in Hinds, Mississippi on February 2nd and 3rd. The following weekend Logan will travel south to Alabama and Florida for an eight-game trip; that will see Logan play eight games in nine days. Once coming home Coach Surprenant's squad will have a nine-game home stand before opening up the 30-game Region XXIV and GRAC schedule. The Vols will be challenged in their non-conference schedule throughout the year, as their 2024 opponents combined for over 500 wins last year.
