Logan Signs Football Transfer from Georgia State

John A. Logan basketball has signed a transfer who was on the football squad at Georgia State University last season.  Mark Lancaster, 6-1 point guard, was redshirted in football at Georgia State and will have two years basketball eligibility at Logan.

"I played both football and basketball in high school and decided to go to Georgia State to play football as a middle linebacker," Lancaster said.  "After a year I've come to the conclusion that I really want to play college basketball and I'm looking forward to playing at Logan where they have a good group coming back and they have a family feel and that's what I want."

         A graduate of Johns Creek High School in Atlanta. Lancaster averaged 17 points and 6 rebounds per game and was honorable mention Georgia 6-A all-state.  He is a strong defender and an excellent lefty 3-point shooter.

"We are extremely happy to have Lancaster join our program," said Kyle Smithpeters, Logan coach. "He is a great athlete and a good student with a high motor."
