Charlie Jones has coached at multiple levels of basketball for more than twenty-five years. His experience includes over 15 years on the AAU circuit coaching boys and girls, high school girls, and 11 years at the collegiate level with men and women's basketball.

Coach Jones is a native of Decatur, Illinois, and played college basketball at John A. Logan College, where he is presently in his 9th year as an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach under Head Coach Kyle Smithpeters.

Coach Jones philosophy is that every student-athlete has something to contribute. His love of basketball has made this sport his choice to use as a tool to assist young people in learning discipline, social skills, dealing with diversity, as well as building character.

Jones is married to the former Melanie Greer of Carbondale.
