JOHN A LOGAN WOMEN’S BASKETBALL KNOCKS DOWN THE #2 TEAM IN THE GRAC, LAKE LAND COLLEGE, 82-68.

CARTERVILLE, IL- The John A Logan Lady Volunteers keep the wins rolling after knocking off the #2 team in the conference, Lake Land College. With this win, the Lady Vols improve their record 9-7.

The Lady Vols came out strong in the first half scoring 48 points to the Lady Lakers 35 points. The Vols had a tough third quarter defensively and the Lakers made a tough come back to come within 9 points of the Lady Vols. The Vols responded to this and raised the energy level in the fourth quarter which led them to their third straight win in a row. The Vols never let up the entire game and ended up outscoring the Lady Lakers 82-68.

Sophomore, Alicia Hornbuckle, ended the game with a total of 14 points, 9 rebounds, and dished 4 assists. Sophomore, Neicy Kyles, went 4/5 from the three point line and she ended the game with 21 points, 2 steals, and 5 rebounds. Sophomore, Lyric Campbell, had another great performance scoring 22 points, dishing out 3 assists, and grabbing 7 rebounds.

The Lady Vols move to 9-7 on the season. The Lady Vols will be on the road against Rend Lake College on 1/16 @ 5:30 pm in Ina, IL.
