The Lady Volunteers get their first win of the season beating Missouri Baptist JV 79-70 in front of the home crowd. After game 3 the Lady Vols are now sitting at 1-2 looking to improve to 2-2 against Three Rivers College on Saturaday Novemebr 16th at 1pm.

The Lady Vols came out and had a strong first half out shooting their opponent 35.9% to 32.5% from the floor. Playing and all around game getting to the rim and capitalizing on the free thow line making five out of their six attempts The Lady Vols didn't shy away from their opponent scoring nearly half of the teams points in the first half of play. Ending with a half time score of John A. Logan 40, Missiouri Baptist JV 31. 

The second half the Lady Vols kept up the abilty to score the basketball with a shooting percentage of 41% compared to Missiouri Baptist JV only shooting 35%. Ending with a final score of John A. Logan 79, Missiouri Baptist JV 70. Sophmore Emily Holmes was the leading scorer of the night with 27 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists with an impressive double double. Sophmore Tyesha Taylor wasn't far behind with 26 points, 8 rebounds, and 1 assist.
